The book is divided into three parts:

• theoretical part – lecture,
• practical part – laboratory,
• practical part – project exercises,

The goal of the theoretical part of the subject is to give the students basic information about the electrical power system (EPS), its structure, characteristic features, levels of generation, transmission and distribution. Students will learn about electric energy quality, sources of elecric energy, electric power networks, conception of electric power and energy. They will also learn about basic calculations carried on in EPS, equivalent schemes of network elements, per unit system, power system protection and the use of computer science in EPS.
